I made these for a fundraiser the school hosted last weekend.

Oooooooooooooh, they're lovely. Well done!

I used to make my own jewellery to sell, but it just wasn't worth it from a financial point of view, because you can never charge for your time. I started buying it in, and couldn't believe how cheap it was. For example, I was paying 99p for a pair of earrings that I could sell for £10!!!

Those sets are very nice! I haven't made much in the line of jewelry; a few Friendship Bracelets out of embroidery cotton is the extent of my jewelry making experience. I am a quilter and crocheter, but get discouraged quickly by the finer crafts. I like to see quick results. :)

...and yet you quilt and crochet? ;D

Mum tried teaching me to crochet a long time ago.  I love the items made, I just didn't have the patience and interest at the time.

I actually just ran into a really nice lady who owns a yarn store downtown, who said she would reteach me knitting and crocheting.  She said she loves to have people just come in and work on projects in her shop just to visit, whether or not they use her "stuff."  I think I may take her up on that and get a few needlework projects done. ::) Hopefully.
