The Scarlet Plague by Jack London

The Scarlet Plague by Jack London (1912) is one of the first post-apocalyptic works of fiction in the modern sense of the term.  It takes place in 2067 after a global epidemic has wiped out most the world's population.  I've found that it is available in the form of eBook here and in audio form here.

This is some classic! I'm looking for a good read these days and unfortunately I can't find this on our local bookstore. I want to have tangible hard copy because this one really looks interesting.

Was this adapted into any movie or television movie yet? would be interesting to see how they adapted this one into film.

Good question.  I am not sure if it was ever adapted to a film version, but that would be an excellent story to bring to the medium.
