Surviving in close quarters (stacking hammocks)
« on: May 17, 2012, 02:46:03 PM »

Erm, no. I don't know whether it'd be worse to be the one up top or the one on the bottom, but I'm thinking I'd rather just sleep on the ground instead.  ???

LOL!  Yah, that has painful and comical results written all over it.

I'm with you Jessi, I think I'll take the ground, away from those trees in case any of them need to relieve themselves during the night.

There are other ramifications too. Supposing the one in the top hammock had a curry for supper, or a few pints too many? Could mean air pollution for the lower orders - and even worse. At least if you're on the ground, you can avoid a lot of disaster situations.

Looks hilarious. I am really curious about how to get to the top hammock? Any ideas? Personally I would much prefer to sleep in something like this:

Well, we know s**t rolls downhill, does it go down tree also?

Looks too much like a punching bag to me.

It does resemble a giant speedbag.   8)

Victor, I'm assuming you just climb them. They're fairly close together so you'd be able to pull yourself up and step on the ends until you're at the top.

And yeah, that looks like a punching bag to me, too. If I were with someone that wanted to sleep in one, I'd end up messing with them all night long, lol.

You mean messing with them together in the bag?

Haha, no.  ;) I meant, when people are in the bag, I'd want to stand on the outside and punch it...or make it swing, etc.

I would also want to spin it in circles to see how dizzy I could make them. ;D

Goodness, you people do have a sense of humor. Remind me to sleep far away if ever I go camping with your guys. Who knows, you might decide to tie me up in my sleeping bag.

It's pretty much guaranteed. ;) Just be happy that we don't roll you down next to the water or add some creepy crawlies to your bag before zipping it up, hehe.

LOL.  Don't forget mud in the shoes.

I was told when I first started working, that you start to think like the age of kids you teach.  My middle school kids would be so proud. ;D

Mud in the shoes? Do you do that? Myself, I have always preferred to put frogs into shoes. It's such a nice warm place for a lonely frog on a cold night.

I don't mind heights, but would hate to have to get past all those people to get to the top. I wouldn't want to be on the bottom either, because I'd never get any sleep. Can I just move one hammock over to some other trees? :D
