One persons truck bag.  Some items I carry, others not.  His looks primarily oriented to wilderness survival.  Still interesting to see other's BoB.

One should keep basic items in there car or truck when things do go south on you. I keep a repair manual in mine, along with tools. He does make a good point about being prepared.
We have a four box system, the soap box,the ballot box,the jury box,and the cartridge box.

I'm actually starting my "Summer Restock" where I go through everything, rotate things as needed, and make sure things are still good.

I'll try to take pictures of what we've got going in the car and truck.
Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

Okay, so here is my car stuff.  This is left in the car at all times, so I have at least 48 hours to be "stuck" somewhere. Please let me know if I forgot something that should be there.  I still have room.  ;)

First Aid Kit

It is placed where it would be visible for someone approaching the scene of an accidents, as well as easy to grab and go.

Contents-First Aid book, water, flashlight and batteries, whistle, hand wipes, hand warmer, emergency mitt, gauze pads (lots of various sizes, including eye patch), gauze roller bandages, adhesive tape, scissors, nail clippers, tweezers, safety pins, band-aids (lots of various sizes), antibiotic cream, anti-itch cream, alcohol pads, clean & treat pads, sunblock, hand sanitizer, gloves (large and small clearly marked), breathing/face shield, ear plugs, stinger treatment, cold tablet, allergy pills, acid reducer, anti-diarrhea pills, ibuprofen, extra ziplock type bags, and extra diabetic supplies.

I have everything in plastic bags.  I do live in the wet Pacific Northwest and have learned from experience that everything bagged makes life easier.

Basic Toolbox

Contents-matches, can opener, fuses, general tools, wrenches, ratchet set, pliers, and such.

Car Emergency Bag

Contents-flares, jumper cables (with directions), fix-a-flat, oil, car chains, duct tape, all-in-one tool, shop towels, and pro-lift bottle jack.

I have another jack and the lug wrench with the spare tire (with directions).

Personal/Survival Supplies

Contents-hygiene bag (shampoo/conditioner, dental supplies, body-wash, soap (regular and Lava), contact supplies, chap-stick, feminine supplies, q-tips, deodorant, compact mirror), another first aid kit, air compressor, drinkable meals, glucose tablets and gel, snap-light, garbage bags, cord, folding shovel, more duct tape, emergency blankets, toilet paper, emergency food rations, MREs, beef jerky, shop towels, rain ponchos, dust masks, bungee cords, flashlight and batteries, bio-wipes, emergency candles, candle lighter, and fire striker.

My ponchos are brightly colored so they could also be used for emergency signals.  I have dust masks packed because I was around when Mount St. Helens erupted and have seen dust devils.

Fun Stuff

Contents-chess set, deck of cards, Sudoku (and pencil), and one of my favorite books.

Stuff Stashed Around the Car

2 gallon gas can, tarp, water, fire extinguisher, CB (handheld and mounted), car information book, hat and gloves, knife, maps, another poncho (we get rain some out here :) ), sunglasses (for those few times we don't get rain), extra pair of husband's glasses, another emergency blanket, a sleeping bag, folding cooler, more drinkable meals, gym bag with clean spare clothes, cell phone charger, and an emergency cell phone with pre-paid minutes card.
