Turn your car into a camper

This is specifically for a Prius, but the idea could be the same. If you're on the move, being able to sleep directly in your car isn't a bad idea. It does seem like you might as well just sleep in a tent, to be honest, but maybe that's not your style...

It sure beats sleeping on the ground.
We have a four box system, the soap box,the ballot box,the jury box,and the cartridge box.

...or on the side of a cliff? LOL.

I'm actually small enough that if I put the backseats down flat (enlarge the trunk) in the car, I'd easily have enough room to sleep.  I could probably fit on the bucket seat in the truck as well.  ;D One advantage to being smurf size.

My husband, on the other hand, is about 6 ft so he would have a problem.
Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

I wouldn't even lay down the back seats. I have no issues sleeping in the seats as they are usually. I'm small enough that it doesn't make too too much difference and I can sleep in weird positions anyway.

True, but I tend to get cold easily, so I figure using the trunk as a kinda cubby hole will help to keep me warmer.  That and the trunk has the sleeping bag in it.  ;)

Ha, okay, fair enough. I would probably still be more inclined to pull the sleeping bag out and use it up front. Then again, I can see how being able to stretch out more in the back would work better for some people.

This is a great idea for people who like the idea of a motorhome but can't afford to buy one and keep it on the road. There's a lot of potential there, and if the climate is not so good, it certainly beats sleeping in a tent, because at least you're off the ground. It's a good call.
