This is an interesting, short overview of CERT.  This focus on the origins in California, but it still is applicable to the national program.

I am a member of our local CERT team here.. Good group, I got a good bit of good free training related to trauma care, and triage.. I'd highly recommend it!

I completely support anyone getting more education.  :)
Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

I've taken the CERT training and I highly recommend it for all adults and older teens.   The course covers many topics and is fairlyquickly paced so you need to be on your toes to get through all the info. Getting involved is our number one defense against disaster,. I firmly believe in getting trained before the disaster hits. then one can become very useful.
